NYLTRN MD Sheet, Rod, and Tube

Nylatron® is a tradename for nylon plastic, filled with molybdenum disulfide lubricant powder. We have the same item but in a less costly generic version we call NYLTRN MD. It is used to cast plastic parts for machines, because of its mechanical properties and wear-resistance. Solid lubricant additives impart self-lubricating, high pressure/velocity and superior wear resistance characteristics. NYLTRN MD was developed specifically for demanding applications where larger size parts are required. It is ideal for bearings, gears and wear pads. In wear applications, NYLTRN MD lasts up to 10 times longer than standard Type 6 nylon.

• High mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and toughness, good sliding properties, good thermal resistance;
• Good fatigue resistance, high mechanical damping ability, excellent wear resistance;
• Good electrical insulating properties, high resistance against high energy radiation (gamma and X-rays), good machinability;
